Will Mapsource work on a 64 bit PC?

Recommended Posts

Software isn't a problem on a 64 bit OS. The trouble is often Hardware not having updated software to run with. Older devices such as printers (every printer has unique drivers to tell the PC how to use it) need updated drivers in order to run on a 64 bit OS. Thats mainly due to the changes MS made to the way drivers are handled in Vista/Win7. When AMD developed, what is now the standard 64 bit instruction set for PCs, x86-64 they made sure to keep things backwards compatible with all PC CPU instruction sets up to that point.

MapSource 6.16.3 runs well on Win7-64. MapSource 6.16.1 was a train wreck.
