+striven
I've just bought a Garmin GPS. It has a very basic map (basically a 19th century type map as far as details are concerned). What is the best type of map to buy for geocaching with the GPS? Thanks, Striven Quote Link to comment

+mpilchfamily
Go with the free ones. Of the 100+ GPSrs that Garmin offers which one did you get? How much detail are you looking for? What kind of cahing are you doing? Urban or rual? Quote Link to comment

+striven
Sorry for my mis-post. Pressed send too soon. Further to my original question. The GPS I bought was a Garmin Oregon 450T. I'm Canadian and will be doing a lot of my geocaching in "metro"/"suburban" BC. But I'm currently in Hawaii on the Big Island. Thanks again for any ideas. PS I'm a newbee. Quote Link to comment
