+Prescott Patrol
I'm planning to go to the Salton Sea for some GC'ing with the kids. I've been there before and loved it. I just heard about some mud pots at the Salton Sea. Officially they are called the Davis-Schrimpf Seep Field or the Salton Sea Seep Field. I am surprisingly having difficulty nailing down the location of these. Well, maybe not too surprisingly as people want to protect them. If anyone could get me some good coords or directions I would appreciate it. I've got the general location down. Quote Link to comment

+Silver Horde
I saw this thread and thought the pots would be a good side trip for us while bird watching around the Salton Sea. They are amazing but even more amazing was the fact that while we were there a geocacher came up to me and asked me to log their vehicle TB. He saw my GC sticker on the Jeep and I showed him that I had a TB too. I thought this would be a coincidence but asked if he was the person who had started this thread and indeed it was Prescott Patrol!! It was very nice to meet you PP, hope you enjoyed the rest of your w/e! Jane Quote Link to comment

We left too late to log any finds so we plan to pick some up tomorrow while we travel up the west side of the lake Quote Link to comment
