trouble with explorist gc

Not sure if it's because of the updates to the site or what, but yesterday everything was working fine. Today, I am not able to send anything to my Magellan Explorist GC. It says Checking Magellan Communicator and the download button stays grayed out. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, still not working. Is anyone else having this problem? thanks

Just called Magellan. 11.10.10 I also had the exact same problem with the explorist GC on the downloads.

The representative told me that they are the problem and they are in the process of fixing it.

He said I could work around the problem by downloading the geocaches to my computer then copying them on to the explorist GC by finding it on My Computer. I have not tried this yet. I will do it after writing this to you.

 

I wonder if others are having the same difficulty downloading to other GPS's?

 

It seems that they were trying to update the Communicator to work with the Mac.

I have 2 different magellans. I just purchaced a used GC that has the caches deleted. You can load the caches thru downloads but it is a pain. I hope magellan gets it fixed. I may have to go back to my old Garmin.

I've noticed this problem over the last few days too.

It happened once before I think. Eventually it got resolved.

I have an eXplorist GC and am using GSAK to load it. :::knocking on wood::: I've not had any issues doing it that way. Honestly, I've never even tried it any other way. (GSAK was what I used for my Garmin.)
