+Alibags Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Hi all. I am due to be going caching in the Southampton area soon and as the title suggests, I would appreciate recommendations of good caches and series to do in and around the area. A nice mix of numbers and quality caches would be good. Ta! Quote

+Alibags Posted September 9, 2010 Author Posted September 9, 2010 I never turned my nose up at quantity, just need some quality from time to time to recover Quote
+The Other Stu Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 when the Tiger was living there, we found most of our caches in Winchester. Some really good quality ones just off the M3 too. Facing Saints is a bit of a climb, but a cracker too. There's quite a few around the disused railway, but we haven't been down there in a while. GSAK, however, is still showing quite a few that we did are still active. In Soton itself, Hexagons is great (OK, OK, I was responsible for it for a while). The Sporting Chance was the Tiger's first cache. I made a right meal of it when I had a go and ended up in a field full of cows! Depends when you go, but if Easy Rambler have enabled Southampton City Walls by then, it's a proper old-fashioned Multi that takes you for a walk all round historic Southampton (and it's well worth it). See? You ask in a National forum and a chump from 10 miles up the road gives you some info Quote
