Purchasing an Activiated Geocoin

We recently purchased a couple of activated coins from a fellow cacher, but cannot move them into inventory because we are not the owner. I can't find out how to do it. Can anyone help?

The person you purchased them from (who I presume is the owner of the coins) needs to send you an adoption request.

I've recently purchased two such coins and the sellers were very quick to send adoption requests to me. Once sent, everything went very quickly.

I got the adoption request, but now I get this message:

 

"You are unable to use the adopt feature for this listing. It has been archived."

Did you receive an e-mail notification from Geocaching with the subject line:

[WPT] soandso sent you an adoption request

?

 

The person who sold you the coin is the one that needs to go to http://www.geocaching.com/adopt/ and initiate the adoptoin. And they have to use the TB number, which is the reference number listed on the geocoin page. Numbers which start with GC are reference numbers for geocaches.
