+RedSkirt
Some of the logs I have read suggest that there is a way to be informed when a new cache is posted. In my area I see that the "first to find" are the same people over and over. I was wondering how they get that information? Thanks for all help. Quote Link to comment

CamoChimp
I have another question regarding FTF. We are new to caching and are putting together our first GC to hide. Is it good etiquette to put in a FTF coin? Or can we just put items in there? Quote Link to comment
+roziecakes
Technically, you don't need to leave anything for the FTF. FTFs are not officially recognized by Groundspeak, and thus not an official part of the game. But if you do want to leave something (and I personally like to do so myself), you can leave anything that you think others would like to find. I leave items such as a premade cache, to handmade earrings. Best of luck hiding your first cache! Quote Link to comment

+Druce_n_Eulla
FTF prizes are just a perk for those who like to get out and find a cache before anyone else does. I also like to add a FTF prize in my continers but it does depend upon the size. I placed a rather large naval container and figured your average FTF prize would not suit it, so the FTF for that container was an FTF geocaching shirt. Be creative people love it.
