+dinnerblaster
Hello everyone. I was just wondering what gps unit to get. I want the features like a barometric altimiter, electronic compass, color screen, sd card slot, and the extreme sensitivity of the Garmin 60Csx, but I also want paperless geocaching and a unit that is marine friendly and that is verydurable. Please help, all help is appreciated. Quote Link to comment

+Red90
Or an Oregon 450. Get a bigger better screen, for less money with all of the same features..... Quote Link to comment
+embra
I'm a DeLorme fan; I'd also nominate the PN-40 or soon-to-be-released PN-60 as devices that would meet your criteria--especially if paired with the Navionics charts or the NOAA Nautical Charts available through the annual download subscription. It has all of the features that you want, and with the new beta software and firmware update it's accurracy is extremely good. I have a 450 and like it very much. The screen could be a bit brighter, but it's not a deal killer for me. The touch screen, ease of use, and geocaching friendliness are major pluses for this unit. OldA'sFan Quote Link to comment
