How to log from the field?

I would like to be able to log my finds in the field, using my Android phone. GeoBeagle claims to be able to do that using SMS and points to this page:

Following those instructions, I've texted 'GEOC' to 41411 on two different occasions, but nothing has happened. I've never gotten a response back.

 

Is this something that only works in the US? (I'm in Canada.)

 

Anyone have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Yes. The SMS logging through TextMarks works only in the US.

 

You can still create field notes by logging to a file though.

Did you try using the WAP site?

I don't know if it is available for your phone but you could try Trimble's Geocache Navigator, thats what I use on my Nokia in the UK HTH

I've found it no problem to just use the standard website on my Nokia N97. Even though it can take a while to load with it being very graphics and data heavy. Why they don't have a proper mobile version, I don't know..
