+rubiconfive
Recently our family picked up our first TB. We did some research and discovered the TB's desired destination is a cache that has been archived. Here is a snippet from the bug's tracking page: Current GOAL: Nittany Bug would like to return to the Pennsylvania mountain from where its name originates, specifically to be placed in the Nittany Lion Cache (GC149) We did our part and placed it in a cache that was geographically closer than the last one we had retrieved it from. However, our kids, being inquisitive by nature, want to know where TB's go when their spawning cache disappears. Edited January 5, 2010 by rubiconfive Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
The owner hasn't logged in since last month but they still receive emails. Maybe they'll go pick it up when it gets closer. It is also possible to change the goal/mission at anytime. If the bug can't get to its destination or it in fact reached it and the owner never picks it up or does anything it just has to keep floating around. I'd probably pick it up and carry it far away so it can keep trying. Quote Link to comment
+WRITE SHOP ROBERT
Well, of course it can keep traveling. If I happened to be in the area of the final destination. I might just take it to the location the Cache used to be in, and get some pictures. Then I would release it nearby. Missions are for fun, and don't need to be taken as law. Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
Email the owner and ask them if they have an alternative cache to place it in. If no answer, keep it moving. But give them time to answer. Email isn't an every day thing for everyone. Quote Link to comment
