  1. I have, sure that looks great. But if I'm on a trackables or a cach page for example, I can't get to it without clicking my name then reloading the first page. I'm hoping its easier to navigate such as a menu and sub-menus or it can be included in the tops of these areas LIKE the old version, for clarity.
  2. Hi. I hope this is in the proper area, apologies if not, but in terms of the website homepage, I really like the "Quick View" view of the dashboard because of the ease in finding things. Those places are hard to navigate to as is on PC, but in mobile its kinda luck of the draw if I get to a section. I'd like to suggest that you make these links easier to find, maybe in a side menu on all pages or the top menu where the Sign Out/Settings is? Nothing like being a newer cacher and trying to find the page where your trackables are! Lol. Thanks and I hope to see the menu soon, ESPECIALLY in the mobile friendly version(s).. Also, the app is really lacking this feature. I'd post the same in the Android app area but since this is here might as well address it here since it ties into the website. I couldn't see where my trackables are, just ones in my inventory. Thanks
  3. Maybe they haven't caught on because people are too afraid of getting it right to try.. On 28/04/2011 at 1:57 PM, Ambient_Skater said: I wouldn't make one with a QR code because it wouldn't be much fun having to stand still all the time while someone tried to hold the tag at just the right angle, find the scanner app on their phone, and then "whoops that didn't work lets try that again..." Its not really like that. I mean sure, I've seen my share of garbage QR codes but for the most part they're simple to scan. Try a different app, some are more sensitive than others. In terms of the card itself, albeit my reply is WAAAAY too late to matter, it seems too busy. I wasn't sure what I should be looking at first, that can lose possible visitors to your profile. But I really like the idea. I'd rather spend 30 seconds lining up my QR reader than 5 minutes trying to type a URL in lol Happy caching!
  4. Does anybody know when the next geocaching event is in Calgary? I believer there is one in June, but I would like more details if anyone is able to provide any.
  5. Is it bad etiquette to TB your dog? I have, because it seems like a great idea, but is it acceptable or frowned upon in the Grocaching community? I don't intend on publicly posting the dog's TB number or any other details of the TB, and it would only be used if he gets lost, so it's not like a "virtual cache"...or is it?
  6. I like the hunt and to me, seeing the "bad" items is still fun. Where did they come from? Why did someone pick this instead of that...? I feel like a kid at Christmas...what's in THAT box? I like the way people of all walks of life can play, equipment permitting - remaining anonymous yet in a fairly supportive community. I don't see the "trash", I see items that were left in hopes of possibly brighten someones day. For me, I LOVE travel bugs because they GIVE you their story (most times). My bug will be set free soon, and I'm thinking of his mission....what's my "life" for him?
  7. It'd be my opinion that you should use discretion - as when caching without a child. Just keep in mind, will people look at you funny if you're wandering in a bush with a 3 year old? I know that, hypothetically, if I saw that, I'd call the authorities! That would not only be a tad embarrassing to explain, but would also compromise the cache! But as said in the first reply, caching is suitable for any age.
  8. Oh, and only 'Write Note' and 'Discovered It' are available in the log page....
  9. I archived 2 caches - once of which contained a TB. An auto message marked the TB as 'Missing' because of the cache being archived. I was still in posession of the TB until today, when I placed it in a find. I tried to log it, and figured that choosing 'Grabbed It' would be most appropriate, but here's the problem...I went back to 'Place' the TB in the recently found cache, but couldn't. I deleted the log of 'Grabbed', because I thought it might re-set things, but now the TB is "virtually" missing - in other words, I know where it is, but it appears that the tracking/log doesn't! The reference number for the bug is TB2AAH7, if that helps, and it's current status is: "Recently Spotted: In the hands of vincent_penny"; but it's not in my inventory! I have already informed the TB owner of the issue, but I want to fix my bad if I can first! Is there an error or is this happening because she was marked as missing?
  10. Thanks for all the help. I will use all the information given! It IS overwhelming on here - I began in the FAQ but was still lost, so I posted here! I'm off to find one soon (GC1ET2H)! Thanks! This thread was really helpful and informative...I hope admins will think of pinning this thread in an easy to find place Happy Hunting
  11. I have unsuccessfully hid 2 caches...unsuccessful mainly because of the high chances of being found by muggles and location conformity issues. After lots of feedback, I got the general recommendation to check out these and other forums. THERE'S SO MUCH TO GO THROUGH THOUGH...where do I start? Also, I never can really find any? What the heck am I doing wrong?
