Garmin Dakota 2.41 beta software

Looks like Dakota owners are getting the same Xmas present as Oregon owners did a couple of weeks ago, plus a couple little extras. Seeing the cache type icon on the list views is a nice touch...

 

Changes made from version 2.40 to 2.41:

 

* Introduced Dashboard options to Compass and Map pages.

* Added new Compass, Elevation Plot, Geocaching-Active, and Stopwatch dashboard options.

* Added ability to display upcoming active route or track elevation plot in blue on the Elevation Plot page and dashboard.

* Added display of icons to the lists in Where To? > Waypoints and the Geocaching application.

* Added phone numbers when available to POI review pages.

Thanks for the heads up Go-cashers.

 

This means that a new update should be made available soon to the Oregon and I think the icons feature will be added as well. That is a good feature to add.

Lets hope the dashboard will be improved as well and not be limited to just geocaches.

 

***Nevermind, I see theres a new 2.81 available for the Oregon 550 as well.
