TB issue

I currently picked up what I know to be a Jeep TB from one of the old contests. It was logged as dropped off in the cache 'Tennis Anyone?'. It's a little red one. Well, my problem is when I grabbed him, I noticed that he had no tag nor did the tag fall out anywhere in the cache. I am assuming someone had taken the tag not really knowing what it was. I was going to email the owner but unfortunately the jeep account owner doesn't have an active email. So it seems to me at this point that the TB will no longer be active but I really want him to continue on his journey. And I also would like to somehow be able to log him so it doesn't show up in the cache's inventory. Any advice?

Is where all the jeep TB's originated, and they are the owner of the TB.

If so, you can use this number, TB1NY7A, when addressing this TB. It is the reference #, not the tracking #.

Well, the last person would have needed the tracking number to log it. I would ask them what happened to the tag.

If all else fails, you could hang on to the Red Jeep until you eventually discover, retrieve, or grab a "Red Jeep" that has been replaced with something other than the original (we have seen several of these). Then you could replace the replacement with an original.
