+redhawk44p
I have checked the Garmin site for differences but the NUVI 550 and the NUVI 500 seem identical. What are the differences in these units? These seem to be the do it all GPSr I have been looking for. What are your thoughts? Quote Link to comment

+CacheFreakTim
The only difference is the maps. Unless you cache in Canada, Alaska, or Hawaii obviously go with the 500 as it comes with the lower 48 states and Topo maps. You will notice that on the box and in some older reviews the 500 is not listed with turn by turn directions. They did add this in a recent update for free. Quote Link to comment
