+Stinson HQ
I am about to place my first geocache and would like to know if anyone knows of an on-line tool that I can use to easily determine if a set of coordinates is on private or public property. I e-mailed Groundspeak, but they said they don't know of one. If it makes any difference, I am in the Seattle area. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Google maps now show property boundaries. It won't tell you which are private and which are public, but it can help. Quote Link to comment

+seldon
Some counties have their property maps online, so you easily find out who owns what property. Check out your county website to see if you are one of the lucky ones to have this tool available. Edit - oops, looks like I was beaten to the punch. +brslk
Look on your cities website and look for property taxes. That will usually show who owns the property. Quote Link to comment
