+pigginell Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Hi, We have just bought a new Garmin Colarado which is Geocache compatible, driving back from Sheffield to Manchester I tried to use the GPS but with no caches in the memory all I could do was drive home. I have just started to send data to the device but I am finding I have to open each cache and click on 'Send To GPS' This is very time consuming and also means I have to guess what caches I may pass while traveling around the country. In short I am looking for an option to download all (as much as memory will hold) caches to the device. Is there a folder or file I can send to device which has all UK caches (I know there are a lot) Thanks in advance Pete Quote
+Bear and Ragged Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 You can't get all the UK caches! Premium Membership and Pocket Queries are your friends. PQ's will allow you to get up to 500 caches in each PQ, and several can be loaded into the Colorado Quote

Just signing up now, dont have the patience to input that many manually. Cheers Pete Quote
+pigginell Posted November 21, 2009 Author Posted November 21, 2009 I am now a premium member and I have done a general PQ in my area but it keeps coming back with. New Pocket Query return to list Thanks! Your pocket query has been modified and currently results in 0 caches. You can preview the search on the nearest cache page. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Cheers Pete Quote
Motorcycle_Mama Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 You are most likely selecting criteria that are mutually exclusive such as "That I own" and "That I don't own". Check out this guide. http://www.markwell.us/pq.htm Quote

If you do NOT check off a day of the week on a PQ submission, a PQ will not be generated and it will not count against your daily limit of 5 PQ's. But anytime you submit a a PQ (day of week checked off or not) you can check out the top of the page for: Thanks! Your pocket query has been saved and currently results in 500 caches. You can preview the search on the nearest cache page. You can immediatly see how many caches were / would have been included in the PQ. And you can click to preview exactly what was / would have been sent. Quote
WPMD Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I'm not a Premium member yet. I select all 20 results on each page and send them to Mapsource. Then they can all be copied to the GPS at once. Quote
+pigginell Posted November 21, 2009 Author Posted November 21, 2009 All sorted, I now have enough programmed in to the device to keep me going for a few years. Thanks for the help Pete Quote
