  1. Bing.com has OS maps you can print out. We use it all the time
  2. You can always switch the format on your GPSr, then enter it as degrees, minutes and seconds.
  3. The found caches will be listed in the calendar. This might be useful if you don't log for a few days.
  4. I find it very useful to use the 205 to get me to the car park, then a basic handheld for the last bit. Neither device does everything but they work well together.
  5. If it's like our Garmin, simply press Mark then edit the coordinates.
  6. We started in August after a friend of ours found a cache among some rocks. She finds them regularly now but never logs them. We found one recently that still hasn't been published. it has one signature in it now!
  7. I have 3 guns, but if I threatened any intruders with them I would be in prison by the end of the day. The bad guys would receive counselling for their ordeal.
  8. http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/Oregon200-WW_OwnersManual.pdf
  9. I think any Garmin or Delorme works with this site. I'm sure you can use any GPS with the right software.
  10. We drive an 04 Vauxhall Vectra CDTi. No offroad capability but we a have a Garmin dashboard mount!
  11. I'm not a Premium member yet. I select all 20 results on each page and send them to Mapsource. Then they can all be copied to the GPS at once.
  12. I drove a 40 mile round trip the other night hoping to get a FTF badge. Nothing there but a logbook. Seems a bit daft now.
  13. I think weatherproofing and ruggedness are the main benefits for us, but if you don't need those features I would stick with what you have.
  14. I can't get the plugin to work with IE, only Firefox.
  15. Are you entering the full coordinates i.e. N55 22.345, or just N55 000 as in your example?
  16. We have a GPS60 and Nuvi 205W. We use the same cable for both, no problems.
  17. I think you would need a more advanced GPSr. I just write it all down.
  18. My (cheap) GPSR has a calculator on it. I'm sure most have this feature.
  19. Search for the cache by it's unique number e.g. GC1T5W or search from the Geocaching.com homepage for your nearest caches. When you find it there is an option to log your find on the top right of the screen.
  20. We bought a Garmin GPS 60 a couple of months ago for £127 new. It is a fairly basic model but it does everything we need it to. Reception not great under trees though.
