+OldA'sFan
Am in need of a new one. Mine took a dive from a car...didn't survive. Presently on holiday in Yuma Ar and looking to buy a new onhe..and where...1st time here. My Vista HCx also took a dive from my car. Acutally, after the "dive" the car ran over it! Anyway, I also needed a new unit. I bought the Oregon 300. So far I love it. It's very easy to use, and I really like the touch screen. I got the 300 since I already have the topo map. Like most other Oregon users I wish the screen was a little brighter, but so far it hasn't been a real hinderance. It is so easy to use that it makes up for the screen. The paperless caching feature is fantastic! If for no other reason I would go with the Oregon because of paperless caching. I bought mine at REI for $350. I'm sure if you shop around that you could get it cheaper. However, REI has such a great return policy that felt it was worth it to pay a little more. OldA'sFan Quote Link to comment
+searchjaunt
All depends a bit on your needs. Do you want touch screen or not? How much money do you want to spend? Are things like a camera, Wherigo, paperless caching a must? I did a small review on a Dakota 20: http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/cold-knight/ Quote Link to comment
