+Carbon Hunter
Perhaps one of the GSA website administrators can help here. When one clicks on the Excel spreadsheet download button - one can download the latest database of Earthcaches. However it only downloads 6 fields - Type / Country / StateProv / waypoint / Classification / developer Could it be possible to get the NAME of the Earthcache and a dynamic link on ht e waypoint or name to take you to the webpage? +Carbon Hunter
Also - The following EarthCache does not show up on the database. I am not sure why. Maropeng Earthcache by Cache-Fan (GCQJM6) - Gauteng Province - South Africa http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...68-56fe04c7c22b Quote Link to comment
+Carbon Hunter
So what this means is that the database shows 83 EC's in SA - but a search using GC.com and filtering EC's - shows 84 Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
Maybe because the 84th earthcache has nothing to do with geology, and therefore ought to be archived because virtual caches don't get listed here anymore? It would make a nice waymark under the World Heritage Sites or Science Museums categories over at Waymarking.com, though. Quote Link to comment
+Carbon Hunter
Fossils are geological. And this was one of the earlier EC's in the mix - so no problem there. Why bring up Waymarking? Is there a value add in making it a waymark in your opinion? That seems like an odd response to a technical question?
