+Damn Dirty Ape
How does one include the hints in the PQ? Quote Link to comment
GOF and Bacall
The hints should be there. What are you opening the PQs with? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
Hello Dadgum Dirty Ape, If you order GPX files with your pocket query rather than LOC files, the hints are included within the GPX files. If you are asking how to get the hints from the GPX file to your GPS, then please let us know what type of GPS you are using, and what type of computer. I will then move your thread to the GPS and Technology forum. Quote Link to comment

When I received the PQ (2 files), I copied them into the j:\garmin\gpx directory I then booted the GPS, went to the geocache section and was able to find desc., logs, all that was needed and even any trackables down at the bottom. It would be nice for me to have the hint at my ready should it be needed. Thanks for the help here. Quote Link to comment

Motorcycle_Mama
Are you saying that when you are viewing the cache information on the GPS unit and go to Options > Show Description and then Options > Show Hint, that the hint isn't there?? Quote Link to comment
+JetSkier
You have to make that geocache the active route (Select the "Go" button), then when you return to the Geocaches icon, you'll have more buttons with one of them being the hint. JetSkier Quote Link to comment

JetSkier Aha! I was looking for it in the desc. before navigating, but I'm clear on that now. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Just a note that on mine, I don't have to be navigating to the cache (ie I don't have to select Go!) in order for the hint to show as I outlined above. YMMV Quote Link to comment

YMMV MM, I have the Oregon 300 and I don't see any "Options" when viewing the description. Which GPS do you have? JetSkier Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Whoops! I was responding with instructions for a Colorado. The Oregon must be different. Sorry about that. Quote Link to comment

YMMV Thanks for the followup, seems that on mine I must be navigating. At least it does show and I know where to find it now! Quote Link to comment
