rocklax
Where is the best deal on finding them? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
NordicMan
Sanyo Eneloops are great rechargables to consider! By "best deal" I hope you mean the best performing not the cheapest. Cheap rechargables are barely worth considering Quote Link to comment
+twolpert
I like Thomas Distributing. http://www.thomasdistributing.com/ I personally like Maha chargers and PowerEx NiMH batteries. Don't know if PowerEx makes a low-discharge battery, though. Edited August 7, 2009 by twolpert Quote Link to comment
jimlarkey
Any chance of using the search function for batteries ??? Cheers, Jim Quote Link to comment
+The Yinnies
Thomas Distributing would be the best. If you order the charge you get 4 AA and 4AAA bateries. It will also charge any rechargables great. Sanyo Eneloops are also a great choice. For the Delorme the travel power pack works great. You have to get it from them. Quote Link to comment
+Damin69
Off of Delormes site on the PN-20 forum http://forums.delorme.com/viewtopic.php?t=8919 Seems one of the best deals is on the Lithium batteries for these units. Heck of a deal at under $10 each http://www.all-battery.com/search.aspx?find=RCRV3 Quote Link to comment

It is nice because you can charge them without taking the battery out. Quote Link to comment

Cheap rechargables are barely worth considering Agree on both points. Over the life of a set of rechargeables, the savings in one brand over another is trivial. And from what my tests with different brands show, Sanyo is among the best for providing batteries that actually live up to their mAh ratings. I've seen quite a few that fall 15-40% short. 39_Steps
Be careful to specify Lithium-Ion CR-V3 rechargeables for the PN-20/30/40 when ordering by mail. The similarly, and often deceptively, packaged NiMH rechargeables in the CR-V3 form factor cannot be recharged inside the PN-20/30/40 devices, and will work no better, and probably worse, than two standalone NiMH AA cells.
