+Team Bashspa
I have set my radius alerts at different settings 3000 ft, 1800 and so on. Some times I miss the cache cause I drove by the turn off . Sometime it sounds like I won the big one alarm just keeps chiming in a cache rich area. My question from those that use this feature what do you think is the best setting . It would be nice to be able to change it on the unit or turn off the feature so you can navigate with out all the alerts. Thanks Quote Link to comment
+sodajerk
I think you might have answered your own question. If in a cache sparce area I use a wider distance, in a cache rich area I use a small distance, sometimes as small as 50 feet. I do not know how to change it on the fly. Quote Link to comment
+EScout
The problem is when there are several caches within the radius distance. One location where I often park has several within a short radius and it goes into an alarm loop that does not stop (they are urban micros close to my office-- two reasons I have not searched for them.) Since caches should be at least 528 feet apart, if you use this distance you will only have one alert at a time. Quote Link to comment
