+drgnflyz
When I find a cache and it is need of maintenance, do I have to log it as a 'found it' to get credit for having found it, THEN write a separate note with the 'needs maintenance' tag; or can I get credit by logging the initial find with a 'needs maintenance' choice? Thanks for your help Link to comment
Keystone
Yes, you do need to log twice. It helps to split your log into two parts, covering just the maintenance issues in the "Needs Maintenance" log. Think about it -- a person can log a DNF because they saw the cache that had fallen from its hanging perch and could not be reached. A prior finder could return to the cache to show it to a friend, only to find out that cache had been jammed shut since their prior visit and couldn't be opened. In these two examples, the geocacher would want to be able to log a "needs maintenance" without adding to their find count. Link to comment
