I've seen a couple cachers have starting points or "dropped" locations that look like their home, making mileage more accurate. I'd like to create one for my own personal coins. Thanks for the help. +Runaway46 Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 I have one of my own listed caches within 2km of my home and I use that to start all my trackables that I turn loose. Log it in, delete the log, go in a retrieve and it is back in your hands with a starting point for mileage. I also have an unpublished cache that I use to hold my coin collection. Not sure if an unpublised cache could be used as a starting point to track mileage. Quote Link to comment

I suppose if people have them and they aren't eventually archived/flushed by the reviewers, I suppose it's okay. Keep in mind when using a published cache, travel bugs do need to visit the location.
