  1. Figures - I no sooner posted my note about these issues, and suddenly, everything appears to be working properly again. If that's the debuggers at work, thanks for getting it all taken care of!
  2. I'm having problems with several items, as well. Like most of the above comments: - finder logs are not visible as they were a couple days ago, whether opening the cache page for the first time, refreshing that new page, or finding an old window open and refreshing; - can not enter anything in Personal Notes - MAJOR issue with this; - can not update coordinates in any manner - the pencil is gone, so can't do it manually, and using the Update Coordinates link from Project-GC.com's verification checker page, nothing gets changed. - maps link is broken - nothing visible on the cache page. But this has been a sporadic issue for quite some time, such as years. I'm running MacOS 14.1.1 Sonoma and using Safari on MBP-M3. I will NOT turn off my ad blocker because that impacts everything else I touch; so that is not a solution. Luckily, it seems nothing, so far, is impacted in the Logging process. I don't want to be holding lists of caches to log for who knows how long. When will these issues be corrected? Please don't break anything else as you fix what got broken this week.
  3. Wow, looks like another step away from usefulness. I think thebruce0 stated things very well, as have most others on this forum. I am one of those who exclusively uses the Browse map, since the present Search/Map function has never allowed anything beyond 10 miles. I also extensively use other map options that have been removed from the new search map, i.e. Open Street Map Default, Esri WorldStreetMap (shows county boundaries - critical for me and many others, my go-to map), Esri WorldImagery, and Esri WorldTopoMap. They have been of immense help to me over the years, as I can drill down and find out what's in the area (businesses, terrain, roads, boundaries, etc.) much better than the "Geocaching" map has provided for. I have noticed over the past several months that these maps have, in their own turns, been sporadically non-functional for relatively long periods (the "map" parts didn't show), which to me indicates a loss of support, and likely a removal from our access in the next several months. I'm extremely disappointed to have to rely solely on Google mapping. Makes me wonder if Google has bought out Groundspeak. Please keep, maintain, and keep easy access for, the browser map as it currently stands.
  4. I use the Add To Calendar feature for events, and was so happy when a recent change brought the actual event time to my calendar. However, since we set the clocks forward to Daylight Saving Time, the posted event times are showing up in the calendar event as one hour prior to the stated time. So for an event posted as starting at 6pm, it shows up on the calendar as 5pm. Now I'm right back to having to edit the calendar again to set the correct time for each and every event I save. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug, or intentional?
  5. One more vote to make the side panel behave as it used to. It's in my way, and like others have said, I only want to see it when I need it. Can someone at HQ respond on this thread?
  6. Not without upgrading the OS. I'll see if closing & reopening Safari will help, but have work to do before I can do that. May take a couple days.
  7. I'm running Evernote Web Clipper and DuckDuckGo extensions, but have been long before this issue popped up. Clearing the caches didn't help me.
  8. I was able to get a screen shot attached. Cache name and number are missing. It almost looks like spacing on the title row is off, cause wrapping that covers up the name/number info.
  9. I have come across page headers today (and last week, for a few days) that are not presenting properly. On cache pages, the cache title and Placed Date are missing (probably some other things). The same type of header problem is showing on my account page (when I click the link to my profile from the top right of the page. I'm running OS X 10.9.4 with Safari 7.0.5. I've only seen this issue since GS started having server issues last week. It seemed to be corrected late last week, and was working properly earlier today. This just reappeared about 7pm EDT today. I've tried to upload a screen shot (.png, 1.1MB), but that is failing.
  10. Thanks to all for your help!
  11. I've earned all the souvenirs for the Mary Hyde hunt, but apparently there is a 6th one that is supposed to be awarded. So far, it is not showing in my Souvenir listing. Is this a known issue, or even supposed to happen? I have the Event and 4 "corner" map souvenirs, all posted as promised. Thanks.
  12. Is this related? - Link at top right of many pages to my stats & profile information is missing. This may have started on Monday, possibly Sunday, I don't recall exactly. But it seems to be growing to more and more pages. I also noticed the cache name was missing on each cache page I opened a couple days ago. Another related problem? Thanks.
  13. 1) January 30 2) February 18 at 11:30 Short of actually, amazingly, winning, I'd like to snag an antique copper, and possibly an antique silver one, once they arrive.
  14. GC1V4JN is my 3rd (and last) FTF. This is memorable on many levels. First it was a winter hike (I'm not into cold weather), and second, it was climbing a local "mountain" (hey, they're still an accomplishment in the East if you're not used to climbing them!). This posted 4 days prior, so I had to make the effort, and got a muggle friend to go with me. We had a great time just hiking around up there - the temps were in the 20's, and you could hear everything reflected off the snow-pack. Just as we were getting within range of GZ, we heard voices coming from another direction. My eyes zeroed in on the hide spot, and then we realized the voices probably belonged to cachers, too. We saw them stray off their path straight for my identified spot, so off I rushed. As we approached each other and the cache, I identified them as locals with a long history in this game, and cachers I hold in great esteem for their profligacy and deviousness. They were a bit closer and better acclimated to hiking in snow conditions, so they physically got there first. One made the find then sat down watching & smiling. Then I put my hands on it, and the last came running as I called out, my muggle friend bringing up the rear. It was a real treat to share FTF with Snurt & LPYankeefan. I had made a couple finds with this cache owner just a couple days before (another of the local idols), making this that much sweeter. Afterward, I gave assistance to make the cache page work as it was intended. What an interesting sequence of events for this one! :D
  15. I am Impressed - with all the orders you got and still managed to ship them out almost immediately - wow! My otters arrived this morning (East Coast), and they are beautiful! Thank you so much, Anne, for consolidating shipping costs for those of us who had to hit both sale times to get the ones we wanted. I'm glad I checked both times! This is my second experience shopping with you, and I've been pleasantly surprised both times!!
  16. Woohoo - got my Midnight otter! Thanks for breaking this sale up like you did!
  17. Wow - I wanted Arctic, Midnight & Emerald, and Midnight was already gone. Tried for Tropical next, and in trying to retrieve my password, it disappeared, too. So I only got Arctic & Emerald. I REALLY want a Midnight otter...
  18. Oooh, can't wait! But please tell me, where is your shop? Okay, let me rephrase that: How do I order them next Wednesday?
  19. 1. This city has a small-town feel, while still having big city entertainments - and PLENTY of good food! - available. Most of the original buildings from as long ago as the mid 1700's have been maintained without much exterior change, giving downtown a unique character that people come from all around to experience. In the heart of it, many of these buildings contain very unique shops and restaurants (including a micro-brewery), and at any time of day or night you can walk around and feel like you are part of the neighborhood. Yes, these buildings have shops at street level, and apartments above. Entertainment comes in the form of local bands playing at restaurants and clubs, and big-name groups performing at the local theater house, where you can also see old classic movies on the big screen again. There are also lots of fairs and festivals, in a variety of themes, held all year 'round. And I've never seen another place where you can walk the city streets with Santa as the season kicks in. After I started working locally instead of commuting, I finally found out how small this city can be - it's nice to run into people you know, wherever you go, yet you can still get about anonymously if you choose to. 2. Beaches or mountains? Both are within 3 hours or much less. Hiking, boating, skiing, sunning - you name it. The Appalachian Trail, Chesapeake Bay, and lots of ways to enjoy it all... Add to this, Spring and Fall are both a feast for the eyes here, with many varieties of flowering trees, and the beautiful fall colors. Don't like the local beaches? Catch a cruise ship just an hour away and you can reach tropical beaches in style. 3. History. Boy, have we got history here! Whether it's battlefields, museums, or old transportation, it can be found nearby. Museums on farming, trains, Civil War medicine, art, ship buiilding - and the incomparable Smithsonian all close by. Lots of National Parks and historical sites, the C&O Canal, historic train rides, close to Gettysburg and many other well known battle sites. And if you like to research family trees, we're also close to the National Archives and Library of Congress, with lots of other resources for local searching. It's very exciting when you've searched for your family in other states, and finally discover older generations practically lived in your backyard - very interesting to find you may be walking in their footsteps! It also makes you wonder if you're related to half the locals... [] My city/town is Frederick, Maryland. I love visiting other places, but I always come home here.
  20. Ooo, nice design. I want at least one...
  21. Yep, add another set to that order... These are gorgeous - all three of them!
  22. This is so cool! I love non-standard shapes and moving parts!
