How can I export routes tracks from Delorme Topo 7.0 to Garmin GPS?

Using Delorme Topo USA 7.0. I see the routable trails work in this version. I made a start point and an end point on a section of the Appalachian Trail and had it calculate the route. I can view an elevation profile for this, etc.

 

What I want to do is find out how to export this route to my Garmin 60CSx GPS unit....I'd rather export it as a gpx or track file than a route, but that would be OK. I tried to export it directly to the device in Delorme, but all it does is send the start and ending waypoints and not any points along the route.

 

What am I do doing wrong or missing here!?!?

GPSBabel can convert several DeLorme file types to the Garmin format. I am not sure Topo USA 7.0 is one of them. It's free to try, however.

You may already have all the data on the AT you want, but in case you don't, I have a Mapsource.gdb file with 290 waypoints - shelters, 15 routes, and 1 track of the entire trail. I picked this up somewhere online a couple of years ago, don't remember which site or I'd refer it to you. PM me with an email address and I'll be glad to send you the file.

I don't have Topo7 in front of me, but IIRC you can right-click the route you made in T7 and copy it as a track to a draw layer. Then I think you can copy the track to your 60csx using the Handheld Exchange tab.
