+wxfamily
Hey guys, went and tried my new 500 for some simple caching today. Couple of questions. 1.When I find one, I can select found on the nuvi and write a comment. These files are stored in a "geocaching_visits) text file. Can I download this directly to geocaching.com or do I have to update the cache finds one at a time. 2. When using a 500, do you find the compass not so good? I bet I did 20 circles waiting and wondering what the arrow would do next. Also, I was on average 10+ feet off on most. Suggestions? Thanks wxfamily Quote Link to comment

I don't use the compass, but being only 10 to 20 feet off the GZ is actually pretty good. Quote Link to comment
+Bundyrumandcoke
A Nuvi 500 is the latest in my line of GPS's. Very good to use, apart from the final few metres. Thats when I change to my 60CSx. I dont bother using the found/unfound feature, as I reckon the time taken punching in notes via the touchscreen is longer than doing them for real online. Quote Link to comment
