+KandDGregory
Hi Everyone! Found our first two caches this weekend, we took nothing and left nothing. When we got home we were tearing the house apart looking for things to trade. I think I have several really good items. We took our dog on our searches and wondered if it's ok to put individually wrapped dog chews? I know you have to be concerned with critters getting into the cache. But what if the cache is very secure with a tight lid? Kathy Quote Link to comment
+TwoSox Trekkers
Good thought, but I think the execution would still falter. Animals of all kinds have excellent noses- and can be quite determined to get into a container. Think about a raccoon visiting serious havoc on a cache... not a pretty picture! I'd recommend the Dollar Store/Walmarts/Target $1 bins for goodies like pencil sets, carabiners, etc. Of course, everyone loved unactivated TB's and geocoins, too. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
No food items please. Even stinky perfumery kind of stuff like candles is a bad idea. Thanks for asking. Quote Link to comment
+ncfinn
Even if food was not strictly forbidden, would you really feed your beloved pet food you found in the woods? Keep your eyes open next time you go to any store. You will be surprised how many smaller items under $2 you can find. Quote Link to comment

OK, I'll just save them for my dog as a reward for being such a good trooper in helping us find the caches. Thanks for the input. Quote Link to comment
