Great news for Welsh and visiting 'geo birders'...

Wales now has a second pair of nesting Ospreys!

These eagle like birds are best viewed on the Afon Dyfi from GC1E6FE

Great news! I was wondering yesterday whether they were back yet. Last year I got a great view twice of an osprey on the nesting platform near Dyfi Junction. :D Still trying to get over to do the cache tho!

Just a note of interest....the first Welsh Ospreys appeared back in 2004 and has attracted some 180,000 visitors.

O.K....here are the best options to view the Dyfi Ospreys.

1. To watch the Ospreys fishing ramble in to the Dyfi from the village of Pennal or Cwrt.

2. Take the train to Dyfi Junction....the birds are viewed from the north end of the station platform.

3. Visit the hide at the Cors Dyfi Wildlife Reserve... web cam & CCTV should be up and running soon.

4. Just...visible with scope from the RSPB hide at Ynys Hir.
