+duflopeeps
I have a Garmin GPSmap 60CSx. Fairly new to caching. I bought the GPS last spring without any maps. Used it only a couple time but it always worked great. This past winter I purchased the North American Maps and today was our first time trying the navigation and caching. We ran into some problems when, for parking purposes, we had to go past the cache and then walk back to it. It seems like it was always taking us back into the middle of the road? Almost like it was trying to get us to the previous "next step" on the navigation and not to where the cache was? Any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
+Maingray
Make sure you have "lock to road" OFF under the navigation / routing options. I forget the exact menu sequence, someone else will chime in. Quote Link to comment

I use my 60csx the same way and when I finally park, when I get out I have it recalculate off-road to take me to the cache. Quote Link to comment
+duflopeeps
I use my 60csx the same way and when I finally park, when I get out I have it recalculate off-road to take me to the cache. Do you do anything different to recalc it when you're off the road? I was just going to Find - Geocache - and then choosing the one we're close to? Sometimes it would take me back out on the road even after that? Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
