+jimbinoc
I would like to install City Navigator in a Oregon 400t. What are the pros and cons of using a DVD vs a Memory Card? Quote Link to comment

MtnHermit
Don't. For about the same price you can buy a low end Nuvi which has a speaker which speaks direction, not a weak beeper. Also included is a mount and a 12V power cord, all extra for your Oregon. To your ?, DVD allows viewing on your PC, but you have to lock the maps to a single GPS. The SD allows you to move the maps to any GPS, but no PC viewing. Quote Link to comment

If you wanted to add topo, or some other info it would have to go on another SD card, and then you will not have the info from CN available. Quote Link to comment
+attono
I opted for the DVD for mine. You can use a 4G micro SD card in the 400t and so you hav extra capacity if you go the DVD route, plus you can do some planning on the PC with mapsource software. Quote Link to comment
