"My Account" vs. "My Profile"

Recommended Posts

What's the old saying about two countries separated by the same language..? :yikes:

Except it’s not the same thing: if you click the profile link on the left side of the page you get account info and activity, and if you click my profile on the right of the page, you get the profile info. Two buttons saying the same thing, but giving different info. Maybe I do care a bit after all.

I'm confused now....

What 'My profile' on the left side? On which page?

All I see are the home page after log in has a 'My Profile' on the right hand side which take you to your cache stats. Then on that page the my profile is replaced by a 'My Public Profile' which take you to the public bio page. ;)

Which then has a link that says Edit your profile which takes you to your Account.

Yes, it is a bit confusing. (Hey look, two countries same opinion. Imagine that)

I'm sure if someone brought it up in the gc.com forum they would take a look at correcting the wording.

For the record, I wasn't talking about the language. Just the confusion of having 2 links to something called "My Profile" - one of which goes to what always used to be my profile, and the other going to what used to be known as "My Account". And yes, I probably asked in the wrong place, but I find the main forums a bit scary...
