stiltz49
I now have a etrex vista had it for 2 yrs. It has done me good until yesterday but garmin support got me thru that. My question I have narrrowed it down to the eTrex Vista HCX or the GPSMAP 60CSX. I don't see much difference. I do a little cacheing and little mt. driving. I do have the Topo map. Any suggestions or opinions would be nice. Money is not a issue as much as a good unit to get me in and out and find that hard to get to cache... Thanks Stiltz49 Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Both are good choices. If you plan on using it more for automotive navigation the 60CSX has the edge because the buttons are on the front. If you plan on using it more for hiking then the Vista HCX may be the better choice because of its compact size. Moving to the appropriate forum Quote Link to comment
myotis
If money is not an option, neither. Get a Colorado or Oregon. Both a much better than those two models. Quote Link to comment
stiltz49
I have a Nuvi 750 for the car. I need one for hiking and cache hunts. I will look into the Colorado and Oregon. Any suggestion of either that might be similar to the above mentioned. Quote Link to comment
OldBenC
I had the Colorado 400T and liked it; however, the wheel got old mighty fast. I considered the Oregon, but the touch screen on such a device in a rough environment made me reconsider it. I then went with a DeLorme PN-40. Quote Link to comment
stiltz49
I did some research myself. I looked at the OR 300, 400t the COL 300, 400t the 60csx and the TREXhcx. I think I will stay with either the 60 or the E-TREX because o features and size. I don't anyone of these would be a bad choice. Thanks Again for the input... Quote Link to comment
