+MnStar
I have a Nikon D40 that I love, but it ain't getting dragged through the briars and the bramble. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive (less than $100). tough, small digital camera for caching? Quote Link to comment

+SD Marc
Try a used Olympus Stylus, most are water resistant, and newer ones are shock proof, and they take decent pics. I have two, and they're put up with saltwater fishing for 4 years. Quote Link to comment

+Mudfrog
I have been using a small, fits in my pocket, 3.2mp A510 Canon for a few years now and it has worked flawlessly. It's turned out to be the only camera i ever use. Makes very nice 8x10s and 4x6s using my home printer. Can't say how much moisture it would take on before going awry (i put it in a sandwich baggie if it's raining) but i can say that it seems to be rugged (i've dropped it a few times). This is an older model so i doubt if you would find it new somewhere but you may could find it on ebay or another site for pretty darn cheap! Quote Link to comment

+deadcowboy
that looks like a interesting camera but the only thing is the only one i could find is the one you showed and it only has a 16 mb built in memory, and i cant find anyhting on expandable memory. so as long as your not planning on taking a lot of pictures and unload when ya get back i dont think its a bad lil camera.
