+Jonovich
Does anyone have any comparison between an Oregon running UK Topo & the Oregon 400t that comes with European Topo? I understand these are different scale maps, but wondered if the 400t is good enough in it's UK coverage via European Topo or if it's worth paying a bit more for a 300 and having the UK Topo on it? I'm thinking from a UK perspective only here, so am not bothered about the lack of European coverage if I go UK Topo. The reason for the question is I spotted I can get a 400t with Euro Topo built in, cheaper than a 300 with Uk Topo added on. Cheers, J Quote Link to comment
ginger_4x4
Check out the new "Oregon ti" it runs OS mapping. G. Quote Link to comment
+The Wombles
I have a 400t but this version of Topo is missing major detail. I loaded Topo V2 with the original Topo disabled which is excellent. Get the 300 Quote Link to comment
+Jonovich
Thanks Wombles, I was afraid that would be the case. Re the OS mapping Mr.G, it doesn't cover anywhere near to home in detail (National parks and trails only) to be of use. It's remaining uk coverage is 1:250k which is a bit useless for just about anything other than navigating motorways. J Quote Link to comment
+Famous.Five
I was considering this exact same problem, apparently the 400i's topo is a bit naff, so we went for a 300 and fitted a micro sd card with part of the uk topo already on it Quote Link to comment
