+BocknDeb
I'm am relatively new to Geocaching...but not to GPS or navigation. However, I may be a bit lax on the whole computer involvement. I have a Garmin eTrex Vista HXC with the updated software loaded. I cannot in any way send waypoints to the unit. My computer recognizes the Garmin when plugged in to the usb port and the software (I tried GSAK and Garmin's Mapsource) acknowledges that the waypoints have been uploaded. When I turn the Garmin back on there are no waypoints to be found. Is it me, the computer or the Garmin? I'm leaning towards me but it would be unAmerican not to ask someone with a higher authority. +JPatton
How far away are the waypoints you are trying to load? Your Garmin will only show waypoints up to a certain distance away, about 110 miles I believe. Try searching by name and you'll probably see them. Quote Link to comment
+Graculus
As said above.... you can view waypoints by name or by closest. If you have it on closest and they are a long way away they don't appear! Graculus Volunteer UK Reviewer Quote Link to comment
+Chuy!
To confirm if you have any waypoints in your GPS, try uploading into the software to see if anything is received. Quote Link to comment
