Emma_Josh Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hi to all. I am a new convert to Geocaching and have fallen in love with it. My sister introduced me to this and i saw the potential as a subject. I am Assistant Principal of Special Needs at a low socio economic area of Adelaide South Australia. My Junior Special Class (year 8s and 9s) have now been geocaching for 1 term and we hope to expand it to more classes next year. Our students are learning mapping skills, team work, how to log their finds, literacy and are about to embark on creating their own cache. All very exciting. My question is to anyone out there who has either a really cheap (close to free as possible) hand held GPS. We are currently loaning one from a teacher and the class is sharing it. We would love to make this a more perm. subject, but we don't have the $$$$ to do so. We would be eternally grateful for anyone's ideas and would love to hear your suggestions. My work email address is emma.medhurst@salisburyhigh.sa.edu.au I look forward to your suggestions - Emma Quote
+The Spindoctors Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Emma You're more than likely to get a rapid response from this forum's webpage. http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewforum.php?f=8 This is where most Australian geocachers chat. Good luck. Quote
