logging a virtual cache

I am pretty new at this and we just did our first couple of virtual caches while on vacation. Using geocaching.com how do you send an e-mail with photo attached to prove your find? :anibad: I see how to send the e-mail but not with an attachment.

I would have to assume that the owner expected the photo to be added to your cache log, otherwise they would have to provide instructions on where to send it.

Once you submit your log you'll see an option to [upload image].

If that doesn't answer your question perhaps you could provide the link to the cache in question.

Most virtual caches require either a photo or answers to a question. Log the find but do not give any "spoiler" type information in your cache log. Then on the cache page click on the cache owner and their profile will appear with the option to "send message" Type your message and most email has an option included to attach a file -- often with the word "attach" or signified by a picture of a paper clip or some other symbol indicative of an attached file. Click on the attach file option and you will get a browse window that allows you to search your computer for the file you wish to attach.

The picture or requested information should only be sent to the cache owner -- never included in the cache log. You don't want to make it too easy for other cachers to log the find without actually visiting the virtual location.

All cacheer profiles include the option to send a message and you can access the cache owner via the cache page.

Hope this helps.

Contacting a cacher via their profile does not provide an add an attachment or an html image option . A secondary method has to be provided to send an image.
