chalupa
Looking for Crusty the Lobster travel bug. Last seen in the Bugs Bugs Bugs cache in Nevada on 12/19/06 Anyone seen a lonely lobster on the road? He is a red squeaky toy lobster from Maine. He wants to come home. Thanks for your help. +Eartha
Holy cow! That one went missing at the very start back in 2006. That's a tough one. I hope it resurfaces for you, it's always a possibilty, it's been known to happen. If it doesn't and you still have the copy tag, you can re-release it, just don't delete any previous logs from people who helped to move the original, or they lose that stat. Just edit the page to reflect a new beginning. If you don't have the copy tag, you can get a dog tag, or something similar, and have the number engraved on it, and use it. Try to make it look as much like a TB as you can, in that situation, so it doesn't end up as swag. Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
I haven't had a chance to read through the cache logs but if the bug is missing you'll want to remove it from the cache page so people aren't excepting to find your bug. On the Bug page, under Trackable Item Options is a pull down menu labeled 'Recalculate Distance', in there is the option "Mark item Missing". You can always retrieve it back out at a later time if it is found or re-released. Quote Link to comment
+UncleJimbo
In my experience, Lobster TBs have an extremely short half life in the wild. Maybe this should be added to Snoogans' longevity clinic. Edited September 11, 2008 by UncleJimbo Quote Link to comment
