First of all, you will need to locate the cache in the geocaching.com database, then in the upper right hand corner, go in and log your visit as a find.

It will then show as a smiley face on the map for those finds!

Secondly, you new cache will be done from the main page, hide and seek section.

You will need to look over the area and make sure you are a full .1 mile from all other caches.

Hi ukridgewalker - welcome to geocaching! Well, you have an account and as you found two caches you must have got the cache page up on your PC to get the coordinates. So, go back to the cache page and on the Navigation bar on the top right you'll find a 'Log your visit' link. Enter your log there.

As to placing your own cache I'd kind of suggest you get a few more finds under your belt first because that way you'll get a much better idea of how your fellow cachers minds work and it will give you some ideas of where to place your own. Before you do place one though you need to read the guidelines to make sure you are putting it out correctly. You can find the guidelines here . There are also specific guidelines for the UK at the Geocaching Association of Great Britain website here . You'll find the link to create your own cache off your home page when you log in - hide and seek a cache.

Finally come and say hello to your fellow UK cachers in the UK forums!

Happy Caching!
