wissels
Hi, I recently installed GPXspinner and plucker to load cache pages onto my palm because I miss the images wich are not included in cachemate. However, the images are not included in plucker... just a tag. I checked the settings and the "include images" setting is marked. All other small images like cache type and smilies are included. (these are separate images in the HTML files) It's just that the embedded images in the HTML files are missing. Anyone knows the solution? Quote Link to comment
sharom12
I use Plucker with my Treo 755p and the images display as expected. Here is the settings I use on the images tab: Hope this helps, Quote Link to comment
trainlove
U think you also have to set 'spidering' to 3 or more in order for photos to show up. I've never used photos though since that makes it take forever to process. Quote Link to comment
sharom12
Here are the settings I have for the Spidering Tab: On the Limits Tab, I indicate to retrieve linked pages to a depth of 3 which is what I think trainlove was referring to. +Prime Suspect
Adding images will take longer to process, but it's dependent on your Internet connection speed. I include images, plus topo and aerial maps, and 850 caches typically take about 15 minutes to process. Quote Link to comment
wissels
I have the same settings as Sharom12 suggests... but nada... only the shared images are shown, no cache specific images which are embedded into the cachepage. guess I'll stick with cachemate then... since the whole exercise with plucker was to have the images. +shell1fish
I've never used GPX Spinner, but I do use Plucker to see cache page images on my Palm. Instead, I use GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife; free to try, $$ to register) to Export a caching database as HTML. Then I use Sunrise XP (free download) to convert the HTML pages to the PDB format that Plucker reads, being sure to set the options to include pictures. The resulting files are orders of magnitude larger than the CacheMate PDBs, but you see the cache page almost exactly as it would look online. Here's another thread along these lines... +Prime Suspect
I also use Sunrise XP as the "distiller" that spiders the pages to retrieve links and images, and creates the file that's synced to my Palm. Works great. Quote Link to comment
