+gypsy1965
Hi i have a street pilot 2610 and all the sudden the touch screen started to fail ( touch left of screen right hand side activated) then all the sudden it stopped working except for on the boot up screen ....OK....OK...those two and the scroll down on right side are the only places it works, I have tried to reset and calibrate, several times. Called garmin and they can fix for a min of 200.00....yikes can buy new for less. Any info or a place i can get it fixed or get parts would be great. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

Given the fact Nuvi's can be had for $100 on sale, seems you have your answer. I recently got a Nuvi 205W, fast, lots of features and ~$200. YMMV Quote Link to comment

MtnHermit
do you use the nuvi 205 for gcache and driving.? what dont you like about it?I primarily use it for viewing Topo maps and photos, the photos can be linked to waypoints, also zoomed and panned. Here's the photo of Spout Lake in my Nuvi. My limited driving uses have shown it to be very sensitive, works from the floor of my truck, and the speaker is loud and clear with excellent spoken directions. Don't like that you can't see anything w/o mega-backlight, which drains the battery: 2 - 6 hrs max. Edited September 3, 2008 by MtnHermit Quote Link to comment
