zedex
Hi. Sorry if this has been asked a million times. I have a 60 CSX with Topo canada on my 2 gig card. Can i have metroguide on the card as well and switch between maps? Or. Do i have to carry a seperate micro sd card and switch between the 2? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+briann88
yes you can have both on at the same time but you will have to reload both maps, not just add the metroguide map to the card. then just simply go into the setup map options on the gps and select which map you want to display. zedex
ahhh. Ok. Sounds good. Heres another question. Which program do i add both sets of maps? Do the maps merge together lets say in topo Canada and you can choose to upload both sets of maps into your GPS? Or is there another way? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+briann88
exactly. you use mapsource (current version 6.13.7 i think) to handle all you mapping products. from there you select which map data you want to display on the computer screen ( such as bluechart, topo, metroguide ....) from the the view drop-down menu. then simply highlight the map segments you want added to your gps ( selected map segments should appear on the left hand window) and upload it to your gps. +Klatch
Hi. Sorry if this has been asked a million times. I have a 60 CSX with Topo canada on my 2 gig card. Can i have metroguide on the card as well and switch between maps? Or. Do i have to carry a seperate micro sd card and switch between the 2? Thanks First, make sure you have the latest version of MapSource installed. From the drop down menu in MapSource select TOPO Canada and use the map tool to select the map segments from TOPO Canada that you wish to install on your 60CSx. Go back to the drop down menu and select Metroguide. Use the map tool to select the segments from Metroguide that you wish to install on your 60CSx. With the 60CSx turned on and connected to the PC click on the "send to device" icon. Both maps sets will be sent to the GPS. Keep in mind this will likely be a lengthy process and you can only send a maximum of 2025 map segments to the 60CSx no matter how large your card is. I believe you can actually send more, the unit simply doesn't recognize those above 2025. The number of segments you have selected is shown on the "Maps" tab on the left side of the MapSource screen. After the maps have been sent to the 60CSx, to select which maps are to be shown on the unit go to the map page, press menu, then "setup map"/enter. From the next page scroll across so the symbol with the small "i" is highlighted and press menu again. This will give you the option to show or hide the two map products. Only one of these map products can be shown at once. Most likely, if you choose to show both, only Metroguide will be displayed on the unit. To have TOPO show, you will need to "hide" Metroguide and "show" TOPO. Quote Link to comment
