+DaZups
I recently purchased a Vista Hcx. when i load from computer it will only put into about 30 letters. Is there a way to increase that amount. I noticed that the data field box is looks able to hold much more info. Quote Link to comment

+Miragee
Welcome to the Forums! The Vista HCx can have a 14-character Waypoint name. I don't remember how many characters can fit into the Comments section, but it is limited. If you Export a .gpx file from a GSAK database and then send the waypoints to the Vista HCx using Garmin's POI loader, you can get more information on the POIs using the GSAK "smart name" codes. Using the "smart name" codes in the Waypoint itself also gives you a lot of information, as opposed to just the GC code. Quote Link to comment

Is the Garmin's POI loader separate software install than Mapsend? Quote Link to comment
