Are you talking about the "more" button? Or are you asking how to just list the caches?

Garmin Nuvi - True Paperless Geocaching

Which button are you referring to? -
That stinks!!!! I almost did the same thing. Costco has the Cx on sale and I thought it was the HCx. Good luck getting your HCx. Be sure to let me know what you think about it. I'm still contemplating getting one...

You don't HAVE to have a reader. You can use the device as a card reader. But it may not write as fast. Card readers are really quite cheap. But for the majority of them, you'll need the adapters anyways because they don't support mircoSD cards. Here's a good 2gb microSD combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820134545 It comes with a small microSD reader and the adapter for SD and mini-microSD. I have the same reader and it's kinda nice that it's so small (the reader is only for microSD). There are some others that can read a ton of other formats, but most times you can just use your device as the reader.

Can You Rename GPX Files from Pocket Queries?
Sundedo replied to mightywarlock's topic in GPS technology and devices
Yes, when you go to save the GPX file from your email, either put it in a different location or rename it at that time. The file name has no bearing on the data contained in the GPX. -
The adapter is nice in that it allows you to use the micro SD as a standard SD and a mini micro. I use my 2 gb micro SD in my phone, camera, music player. It's great to have that flexibility

Differences between Legend and Vista HCX
Sundedo replied to sli23sli's topic in GPS technology and devices
BE CAREFUL! Costco is selling the Legend Cx- not the HCx. No high sensitivity receiver. There is a big difference! You are correct!!! I think I need to get my glasses checked... -
Thanks!!! I'll give that a whirl. And yes, the TB's do show up as purple in the description. It's GREAT!!!!

I just tried this macro as I started setting up different databases for a trip we're getting ready to take. Worked GREAT I love having the different databases and the caches sorted by type. Just a simple question: Does the astrix (*) next to the GC number indicate the presence of a TB? If not, is there a way to get that info in the listing? Thanks again for the great work!!!!

Using car GPS Navagation to get to Parking Location
Sundedo replied to debanddan's topic in GPS technology and devices
But there are sometimes where preloading the coordinates isn't feasible (puzzle caches). I don't know what the feature is called, so I can find a good comparison of nav units that provide coordinate mapping. -

What is your budget? I currently have the nuvi 760 and I know you can input coordinates as a destination. -

Hey, you do all the hard work -
That would explain it!! I see I can get around it by just loading my GSAK GPX file. It was just weird to see the point move. Especially on that one. It went from a bush to a parking lot

I loaded the network link to the GC site so now I can view caches in Google Earth. But I noticed some strange behavior. When I zoom in on a waypoint, it will move as I zoom in and out. See example below: I put in the coordinates straight from the cache listing as a reference point. Note where the cache icon shows up: *Click for larger image* Now, the same cache as I zoomed in a tad *Click for larger image* Obviously, it's kinda disconcerting to see the position change. By panning/zooming around the map, I can get about 7 different locations for that same cache. Anyone else see this when they use GE?

Paperless Caching - What do you use?
Sundedo replied to Too Tall John's topic in GPS technology and devices
XV6800 (PPC 6800) GPX Sonar Google Maps ALSO nuvi 760 GSAK macro POI loader Both work great and have kept me from purchasing a dedicated handheld. I still may get one, just so both my wife and I can hunt at the same time. But with those 2 I can skimp on the hand held (etrx H ) -
Using Google Earth to locate cache sites

Log into geocaching.com, go to "My Account Details", and you will find the kml at the bottom right of the page. Hope this helps! Oh, that was the link they were looking for... -

Sundedo replied to Trooper123's topic in GPS technology and devices
You can just load your GPX files directly into Google Earth. -
We're cheap But have $500 cell phones. And pay $30/month for unlimited data plans so we can use them! To hunt Tupperware. LOL!!! I guess I'm spoiled by not having to pay for my phone or service.
-
That would imply that I have to pay for mine

Is the Garmin's POI loader separate software install than Mapsend? http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/
