i cannot activate by trail membership.

iam logged in and the garmin plugin is correctly installed and tested on the gramin test page.

my garmin colorado is connected to my pc and registrated on the "mygarmin site ".

but i always get this error message:

 

You must correct the following before activation:

 

# A registered Garmin device does not appear to be connected to this machine.

# The Garmin Communicator plugin does not appear to be installed.

# There was an error loading the Garmin Communicator plug-in. Please refresh this page and try again.

Did you install Garmin's USB drivers on your machine?

Some people are having trouble activating the 30 day membership. If you can send you information to contact@geocaching.com the nice support people can get you setup with the trial membership.

 

Also please send your device serial number when contacting support. Thanks!

it seems that i cannot install the usb drivers on vista 64 bit.

my pc cannot find the device....

Garmin Communicator Plugin Test Page

Communicator Plugin is properly installed and up to date, version 2.5.1.0.

 

Garmin GPS device is detected and communicating properly.

 

it still does not work !

I don't think that's true, or OpinioNate would have posted something to that point above. Since he is one of the support people that he referred to I think he would know what he's talking about.
