A.B.E.L.
So I just got my 400t last Friday, haven't gotten a chance to use it in the field yet... I have City Navigator 2008 NT loaded up and noticed this small quirk testing routing on my way to work this morning. I set a waypoint and it calculates and sets my route, now on my 60CSx if I strayed from that route it would do another 'Calculating...' and then set a new route or as i call it 'auto-re-routing' does the 400t not do this? or am I just missing a setting somewhere? or will this be addressed in some future firmware release? thanks in advance, Aberrix Quote Link to comment
+qlenfg
I can't remember if there is an option to disable this feature, but by default it should re-route within a 1/4 mile or less of missing a turn (at highway speeds anyway). The re-route has worked fine on my 300 with CNNA NT 2008. Quote Link to comment
+myotis
Yes it will recalculate if you get off the route. The recalculation is MUCH faster on the CO than the 60CSX. Quote Link to comment
+Cacheoholic
It should recalculate automatically. I don’t see any setting to turn it off. Are you using the automotive profile? Quote Link to comment
A.B.E.L.
Yes, I am using the automotive profile. I guess I haven't gone very far off route, only like 1/2 block so that might not make the 1/4 mile in order to make it auto-re-route... I'll have to do some more testing tonight... +qlenfg
There may be a way to tweak this distance, but I haven't run across anything obvious yet. I did look over the automotive profile file to see what settings it has, and the only thing I saw related to routing might be in the marine settings. There is an entry called <OffCourseDist> with a value of 500.000000 -- not sure if this will relate to the automotive navigation, or if manually editing it will work, but it might. A.B.E.L.
yep, auto-re-routing is working just fine for me... it just doesn't re-route as quickly as my 60CSx did, but its not biggie. Quote Link to comment

+XopherN71
My Colorado re-routes almost instantly... far from what I would consider slow. Do you have a Colorado? Quote Link to comment
