+USAF#1 Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Recently went to a Best Buy store shopping for a new GPSr. I found some models I was interested in and I told the clerk I was checking features and prices. Clerk said that if I found the same unit anywhere else they would match the price. He said to bring the ad and they would verify it. The next day I returned to the store with a copy of an ad with a lower price for the same unit they carry. After half an hour of waiting for the clerk to get two managers o.k. and checking the competitors price he returned and said they were not going to match the price. There is a large sign in the store advertising they will match competitors prices. I asked for a reason and he told me the manager would not approve the sale, his attitude suddenly changed from helpful to just ignoring me. So much for Best Buy policies and advertising gimmicks, my recommendation is naturally, Stay Away From Best Buy. Quote Link to comment

Better yet, just stay away. The only reason I ever walk in there is to get hands on experience with something. I will only purchase from them if I am desperate and out of options.
