buckeyealum Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 For over a week now, I have not received any cache notifications, including caches that I own. How can I remedy the situation?
Motorcycle_Mama Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Check with your ISP to make sure that they aren't throttling emails from Groundspeak. Or change to a different email address to see if they come through. The majority of the time this is an issue at the receiver end not at the sender end.
buckeyealum Posted March 23, 2008 Author Posted March 23, 2008 I received the weekly Groundspeak update.
Keystone Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 The weekly update originates from a different sending address, lobot @ geocaching.com. Check for blocks, filters, etc. on the address for notifications (owner, watchlist, etc.) which is noreply @ geocaching.com. Ask your ISP if you don't solve the problem on your side. You can also write to Groundspeak and ask them to research your account and provide a log of when the messages were sent to you, refused by your ISP, etc.
+Ockette Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I haven't been receiving my emails either (hotmail account), and I've been unable to check if it's hotmail because every time I go to my profile and try to change my email address, I get a big error message.
+whistler & co. Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I have been receiving all notifications except the ones I really, really want (newly published caches). This has been an ongoing problem that seems to occur several times a week for the past month or so. Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. Three other cachers I know (using a total of four email services) have been experience the same thing to varying degrees.
