mgrt67
Anyone know if its possible to upload an aerial photo to a Garmin vista hcx? I have found information on creating your own maps using aerial images, but this was for making custom topos. I did use a program called OZIexplorer to calibrate my aerial photo with latitude and longitude information, but I cant find info about how or if it's possible to now upload it to my gps unit. This seems possible if only I could find the right software... The topos in mapsource 2008 are not very good and having an actual aerial photo of the area on my gps would be awsome. Thanks Quote Link to comment

Thanks The Vista HCx is a vector-based unit and as such will not accept raster maps nor can it show aerial images. Sorry. Quote Link to comment
Baumer
I ran across this earlier today, can't endorse it, but it looks interesting http://www.robomatt.com/maps/makemaps_paper.html Quote Link to comment
